The Town of Brome Lake is looking for a motivated individual who is able to plan, organize, coordinate, carry out and evaluate all of the activities of the soccer program. Reporting to the Recreation and Community Life coordinator, the soccer coordinator will be primarily responsible for the following duties:
Main responsibilities related to the position
Plan, organize and coordinate registration, team roster, schedules and calendars,
Represent the Brome Lake Soccer Club to groups of which it is a member;
Organize certain activities during the Club’s season;
Assure communication with the players’ parents;
Recruit referees and coordinate training/evaluation;
Develop the annual calendar of activities for the refereeing sector;
Ensure budget follow-up for the soccer program;
Ensure the follow-up of the equipment inventory and make the necessary purchases;
Participate actively in meetings of the soccer program;
Any other related tasks related to the soccer program.
Possess an excellent sense of organization and responsibility;
Have strong teamwork skills and a high level of autonomy;
Good knowledge of the rules and laws of the game;
Have s strong sense of customer service and good communication skills;
Bilingual - the ability to communicate in English and French, both orally and in writing, is essential to the position;
Have a DSC or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (recreation, leisure or community leadership) or other combination of relevant training and xperience will be considered an asset
Temporary employment with variable hours (full-time in the Summer).
